A UFCW local wanted to organize ShopRite grocery workers and asked me to design a new informational flyer (8.5" x 11") that highlights the benefits of union membership.
The local union will be printing out the flyers themselves, and want a simple yet engaging one-sided piece, using the UFCW International brand identity and color palette, with provided copy.
It was important that the flyer not sink into the visual noise of the store, so I borrowed some inspiration from legal and ADA employer signage to help understand what made a poster look both informational and credible.
This project needed to fit a lot of copy, so I chose to use strong color blocking to divide the flyer into small, legible sections, with some small iconography to help guide the eye. I edited some stock photography to add a visual pop, and highlighted specific benefits that would most likely grab an employee's attention.
